the most popular martensitic grade in the world. There are many different 420 grade
versions but the most popular 3 versions are 420A, 420B and 420D. 420A grade is
written as 1.4021 or X20Cr13 according to EN norm and it is written as UNS S42000
according to UNS norm. This versions contains ~%0.20carbon andthis version can get
hardness up to 48-50 HRC after heat treatment.
The second most widely used 420 material version is 420B grade and it is written as
1.4028 or X30Cr13 according to EN norm and it is written as UNS S42000 according to
UNS norm. This versions contains ~%0.30 carbon and this version can get hardness up
to 50-52 HRC after heat treatment.
