Adopted on this model are a newly designed, compact 4-stroke OHV, single-cam 50cc engine, a compact, lightweight inverter unit, a compact multipolar-magneto alternator with outstanding electrical output-per-weight ratio and plastic covers. In addition, weight reducing design elements have been applied throughout to help achieve a lightest-in-class weight of just 12.7 kg. Users will appreciate this model, so light you can carry it with one hand. What's more, it is designed in a compact 450 x 240 x 380 mm body with a total volume equivalent of just 41.0 liters.

Exceptionally quiet running performance is achieved by the combined effects of the "Economy Control" function, which chooses the minimum engine rpm necessary for the actual electrical load, the double coil system that makes possible a higher output even at the low rpm setting on Economy Control mode, a new-design muffler structure, optimum distribution of sound-absorbing material and a low-noise cooling fan made of plastic. All this guarantees quiet running at just 48.5dBA at 1/4 load.
